all sorts of folk going for it on the dance patio last night at Laurel and Rodney’s wedding. It was quite a party and though I was intending a 2 hour run this morning, an hour was the most I could go for along the Colorado River.

Laurel:
Nothing like some tasty champagne to get people dancing (or doing yoga? that might take tequila). I really didn’t dance, just swung the boot around a few times until I realized that was probably a bad idea. The wedding, though, was a great time. Lots of fun, lots of tears and laughs. Beautiful light on the yellow cottonwood tree in front of Castleton Tower in the distance. Touching words from my Mom and lovely friends Kate and, of course, Lisa. We felt incredibly lucky and spoiled to have so many of our favorite people come out to almost nowhere to celebrate with us. I’d like to say that getting married didn’t feel like going for it, since it was all so easy once it got going, but I was fairly queasy with anxiety before the ceremony. Thank you Kate for the quick thinking and that gin and tonic.
